How the Value Guarantee works

1. Use PriceBuddy for a qualifying 12-month period.
2. Import your Costco purchase history for that period (including price-adjustment receipts) and keep your account in good standing.
3. At the end of the qualifying period, we compare your verified value with the eligible subscription fees you paid during that period.
4. If verified value is less than those fees, you may request 12 additional months of PriceBuddy at no cost.
5. If you remain below your original value target at the end of a complimentary extension, you may request another 12-month extension at no cost.

Your value target is fixed when your original qualifying period ends. Complimentary extensions do not increase it.

What counts as verified value?

Verified value means Costco price-adjustment refunds you actually received that are reflected in imported price-adjustment receipts in PriceBuddy — that is, Costco receipts of type price adjustment that you’ve imported into the app during (or covering) the relevant period.

The following do not count until they appear as imported price-adjustment receipts:

• Estimated or projected savings shown in the app
• Price-drop opportunities you have not yet claimed at Costco
• Items you’ve marked as redeemed in the app without a matching imported price-adjustment receipt
• Potential future savings

We ask that you use PriceBuddy in good faith: import your receipts (including price-adjustment receipts) so we can accurately measure the value you’ve received. Withholding imports to inflate a guarantee claim is not allowed. If a request looks incomplete or inconsistent with typical use of the app, we reserve the right to ask for reasonable clarifying information before approving an extension.

What are eligible subscription fees?

Eligible subscription fees are the base membership fees you actually paid for PriceBuddy during your original qualifying period.

They do not include:

• Taxes
• Amounts that were refunded, reversed, disputed, or charged back
• Free trials, promotional credits, referral rewards, or amounts you did not pay
• Optional third-party charges unrelated to your PriceBuddy membership

For an annual member, the value target is the eligible fee paid for that annual membership. For a monthly member, the value target is the total eligible fees from the 12 qualifying monthly charges (or an equivalent mix of paid billing periods totaling 12 months of paid membership).

Who is eligible?

Complete a qualifying period

You must complete either:

• One full 12-month annual membership term; or
• Twelve paid monthly membership periods on the same PriceBuddy account (or any combination of paid plans that equals at least 12 months of paid membership).

Monthly periods do not need to be consecutive, but all 12 paid months must occur within 36 months of the first qualifying payment.

Import your receipts

During the qualifying period, you must import Costco purchase history covering that 12-month period — including any price-adjustment receipts from Costco — so PriceBuddy can identify opportunities and measure verified value. Gaps that leave us unable to assess your purchases for material parts of the period may make you ineligible.

Keep your account in good standing

The Value Guarantee does not apply if you knowingly submit false or misleading information, abuse or manipulate the program, initiate a chargeback for a qualifying payment, or materially violate the PriceBuddy Terms of Use.

Submit your request on time

You must request your first complimentary extension within 30 days after your qualifying period ends. If you qualify for another complimentary extension, you must request it within 30 days after the current complimentary period ends.

How to request a complimentary extension

Email support@mypricebuddy.com with the subject line “Value Guarantee Request.” Include:

• The email address for your PriceBuddy account
• Whether you subscribed through Apple, Google, or another supported payment platform
• Your subscription plan
• The qualifying period covered by your request
• A brief note on the price-adjustment value you’ve received (as shown via imported price-adjustment receipts in the app)

We will acknowledge your request within two business days and ordinarily provide a decision within 10 business days. We may ask for reasonable clarifying information if records appear incomplete or inconsistent.

If approved, we will provide instructions for activating 12 additional months of PriceBuddy at no cost (for example via a complimentary entitlement, offer code, or another platform-supported method). You may need to turn off automatic renewal or allow your paid subscription to expire before complimentary access can begin. Your Apple or Google subscription remains subject to the settings in your Apple or Google account until the applicable store confirms otherwise.

What the Value Guarantee provides

The Value Guarantee provides additional access to PriceBuddy at no cost. It is not a money-back guarantee, cash refund, reimbursement, statement credit, or promise that Costco will have price drops for you.

Complimentary access:

• Has no cash value
• Is non-transferable
• Cannot be exchanged for money or store credit
• Applies only to the eligible PriceBuddy account

If you reach your fixed value target during a complimentary period, you may continue using the complimentary access already granted through its scheduled end date, but you will not qualify for another extension based on that original qualifying period.

Refunds from Apple and Google are separate

PriceBuddy does not process or control refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google independently determine whether store purchases qualify for a refund under their policies.

The Value Guarantee does not promise or require a refund from Apple or Google. Requesting or receiving a complimentary extension does not limit any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law or a store’s separate policies.

You cannot use both remedies for the same paid period. If Apple or Google refunds subscription fees that would otherwise count toward your qualifying period, those amounts are no longer “eligible subscription fees” for the Value Guarantee — and a complimentary extension will not be available for that period. In short: a store refund returns what you paid; the Value Guarantee extends access when you kept the subscription and still came out short on verified value. Choosing both for the same charges would be double recovery, which this program does not allow.

Honest limits

Our goal is to help every member get more value than their membership costs. We cannot promise that any specific Costco price adjustment will exist for you, and we cannot control Costco’s pricing, stock, policies, or customer-service decisions.

What we guarantee is the remedy on this page: if you satisfy the requirements and remain below your fixed value target, we will provide another qualifying period of PriceBuddy access at no cost.

Changes to the Value Guarantee

PriceBuddy may modify, suspend, or end the Value Guarantee on a forward-looking basis. Any change will apply only to qualifying periods that begin after the effective date of the updated terms. The version in effect when your qualifying period begins will continue to govern that qualifying period and any complimentary extensions arising from it.

Additional terms

Your use of PriceBuddy remains subject to our Terms of Use. Those Terms’ limitations of liability, governing law, and other generally applicable provisions apply. Nothing on this page limits any non-waivable consumer right under applicable law.
